Child and Family Investigation

As a Child and Family Investigator (CFI), Jennifer accepts appointments in the following judicial districts: Gilpin County and Jefferson County (1st Judicial District), Denver County (2nd Judicial District), Adams County and Broomfield County (17th Judicial District), Weld County (19th Judicial District), and Boulder County (20th Judicial District).

Jennifer’s background includes representing parents in family law cases (divorce, child custody, and child support) and representing the children’s best interests as a guardian ad litem in dependency and neglect cases, truancy cases, paternity cases in Denver Juvenile Court, and juvenile delinquency cases.

Some families are in need of the services of a CFI when they first separate or divorce.  During a separation or divorce, concern for your children’s physical, emotional, and financial well-being can increase your anxiety in what is often already a painful experience.

It is even more common for families to seek out a CFI after there has been significant conflict for a long period of time.  Jennifer is committed to getting to know each family’s history and the values of your family as they relate to your family disputes.  It is also extremely important to complete the Investigation as expeditiously as possible so that families are not prolonging an already very stressful time in their lives.

Jennifer charges a retainer of $2,750 as a CFI at a rate of $150 per hour.  She also accepts state pay cases on a case-by-case basis.
